Ok, so I'm sure the responses have been overwhelming with more than a few whacko's, but I'd figure I'd give this a shot, a very looong shot, but what the hell, this could be fun... So I dont have a photo now, could get one later, but I'm 5'9", 130 lbs, white, thin, hot, have 3 degrees, work in sales and model part time. I love to travel, infact I am going on the NCL cruise out of NYC on November 30th to the Bahamas with a friend. I'll take you up on this crazy "cruise with a random stranger" offer. Although it sounds more like a bad reality based tv show, I think it will be a blast. So if today is the deadline (Did I make the cut?!!??) put my name on the roster. Oh yeah, I am free the whole 2 weeks, have plenty of vaca time, I will NOT bail out on you- I'm in this for the fun and sun, and the laughs, and yes, I'm sure there will be PLENTY. One catch- I'm from Boston but visit NYC a lot. Would love to meet ya before we set sail just to make sure you're not a creepshow. Pls describe yourself in detail... Ht, weight, waist size....ethnic background -- culturally & religiously how were you raised? what countries of origin are your grandparents/forefathers from? Any sports that you like, motivated by & are active in? How much skiing do you/CAN you manage in a winter season (where do you go- Vermont? It's imp. to let the other person know what you're thinking when/where it is relevant, when it relates to this kind of anticipatory meeting up or pairing up or whatever attempt at a "connection"... however loosely formed at first-- in order to set the beginnings on a more surer footing w/ a real base for real friendship wherever it may develop off to, whether it be something "more" or "just friends", {not just flitting around prematurely or whatnot...before you know a little more about the other person's values & the such}... OK, about me: I'm 5'6'', about btwn 110 - 115 lbs lbs (depending on the week!) pretty trim, slim, attractive, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes just really mellow, & just easygoing, sometimes I seem to be on a treadmill forever...kinda intense at other times... {I do like good televison programming, like Charlie Rose interviews.Frontline, Bill Moyers' NOW..& nature, & Live from Lincoln Ctr, music stuff...meet the press, Business week TV show, James Cramer when he was still airing on Bloomberg...ballet, opera. }sometimes I feel very domestic, sometimes i can be out on the town all night or maybe I'd be up for a road trip if its the "right" guy for that roadtrip... I have dark black soft long hair but I like to put it up for better manageability, not much into make-up, like it au natural but a few creams here & there is all good, I keep fit, I would be into yoga more if I had the time... Very passionate person about certain things like the world, like our society (-ies) & how they can all fit (co-exist) together in a peaceful (hence more productive) manner! unlike the middle east rt now I suppose. I enjoy reading Biz Week sometimes, the NYT, the WSJ certain parts, Fortune, The Post, various mags that don't have as much immediate importance as the hard news, like the New Yorker,,, But it's like a snob's magazine so...I try not to digest too much of that stuff. Though I must admit the cartooning in there is quite exemplary. Uhm, I enjoy watching one very enigmatic religious program on Fox (ch. 5,) every Sunday morning (if I get up early enough), a couple of Business & politics shows on Sundays... I enjoy the Sunday Times, sometimes {if I can have time to take it all in! that wonderful rag...}. In sports, I would enjoy more oppty's to go skiing (actually I enjoy snowboardinging wildly on the slopes-- someone will have to teach me skiing since I am rather bit nervous ), I would enjoy playing anything that the other party is good at...hahaha. Ok, here’s the deal:
I did a piece of advertising work a while back for a certain cruise line
and since they didn’t have the budget to pay me in full, they decided
to pay me with a cruise voucher…a really BIG cruise voucher. The
catch was that I wouldn’t be able to sell, transfer or trade it
and I had to use it within a certain period of time. That period of time
was set to end on January 10th, 2004. So, with most of the routes being
lame trips to England, I decided to set myself and a guest up on the Holiday
Cruise to the Caribbean. The ship would leave NYC on December 21st, 2003,
cruise the islands and return to NYC on January 5th, 2004, just under
the deadline.
Everything was set to go until last week when my guest found out she couldn’t
get off work and had to cancel the trip. This normally wouldn’t
be a major issue, since I’m not leaving for another 5 weeks, except
for the fact that the paperwork for the booking must be filed 30 days
before the ship goes to sea.
So, basically, I have to put someone’s name on this form in the
next 5 days or I’ll be floating around the ocean solo for 2 weeks
trying to entertain myself.
Now, I know this sounds like the premise for a really bad movie but it’s
the truth. I have to find someone immediately. I’ve already checked,
and none of my friends can take the trip.
I’m just looking for a cool, 20-something girl who wants to get out of the city for a few weeks, get some sun in the islands and basically have a really good time making a mockery of the entire cruise experience with me.
I’m a single, 28 year old Cinematographer living in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn. I have a bike, a beard and a decent sense of humor.

things to keep in mind:
I am no sugar daddy.
This trip was given to me.
There is no way I could actually afford it myself.
While
all the accommodations, food and room service are covered, the voucher
doesn’t cover everything. You have to personally pay for items such
as drinks, gratuities, internet, phone calls and spa treatments (although
you are allowed to bring your own private stash of booze onboard if you
like.)
The
cruise runs from December 21st – January 5th (that’s over
Christmas and New Year’s).
We’ll
be sharing a double room.
