Head of Production & Operations

thehappycorp global is seeking a head of project management to be the ringmaster to our creative circus. You will work with a world class team on many amazing projects. You will will be managing designers, illustrators and other artists, while working directly with the Partners of the company. The candidate will take on the following Responsibilities:

+ Lead the production management of all AAARRR!!! and thehappycorp projects, both internally and client related.
+ Develop and manage all project timelines and budgets.
+ Practice and contribute to the management and evolution of all strategic service offerings.
+ Responsible for day-to-day management of external client contacts and communications related to projects.
+ Identify growth opportunities for all parts of agency with current clients and advise new business team on areas to focus on.
+ Develop the internal processes that support service delivery, profitability and client satisfaction.
+ Create a tight team of freelancers who can develop online advertising, websites, motion graphics, video, and television spots when necessary.
+ Gather technical specs and work with programmers to develop wireframes for website projects.
+ Ability to lead internal client meetings when necessary.
+ Organize and manage company assets and intellectual property.
+ Assist in training and development of creative team.
+ Work with a team defining the overall scope of a project and developing a sound implementation plan, which meets the project strategy and works with the budget and timing.
+ Manage the implementation of AAARRR!!! external marketing projects.
+ Manage production of internal (intranet) websites.
+ Manage production management software platform.
+ Create project estimates for all new business and internal projects.

thehappycorp requires numerous internal working relationships across a broad range of functions, so as the company expands, there may be instances where new responsibilities will be laid out. Those will be analyzed with skill sets and time restraints within the company at that time. The position reports directly to thehappycorp global partner.

Salary and Benefits

Publicity Intern

We are a young, successful, and fun agency looking for a talented intern to help build our publicity department. We have internal and client projects that are ready-made for media exposure and need a talented go getter who will go... get... it.

You read Page 6 and the front page of the WSJ. You know your way around NYC and how to talk yourself into a good party. When you walk in the room, all eyes turn to you. You get along with everyone, have an easy time making friends, and like to work hard and play hard. You are not afraid to call a major talent agency and talk to agents about celebrities and events.

Are you looking for a creative outlet and a position with responsibility? Are you willing to make phone calls, send emails, run errands, and organize events? If so, this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an expanding agency while gaining real industry experience. We want someone who will charm every editor in town with their wit, style, and happiness and follow it up with a professional pitch and release that forces them to take you seriously.

Responsibilities
Thehappycorp is looking for candidates with strong writing, communication, and research skills who are interested in PR and marketing. Intern responsibilities include finding leads, contacting magazine and newspaper representatives, organizing marketing materials, building databases, writing and sending press releases, attending special events, and maintaining press information.

You will work with a PR professional whose established contacts and skills will help you learn this industry inside and out. You will have innovative, press-worthy material to pitch that will make your job easier. Strong skills using Excel and Word, maintaining databases, and organizing contacts are required. Design capabilities are highly desirable and experience with Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign) is huge plus. Knowledge of HTML and familiarity with the web is key. Candidates must be computer-savvy and preferably comfortable with Macs. The job hours are approximately 40 hours/week, with occasional late nights when we are finishing a project.

Incentives
This position pays $400/month plus a monthly subway pass. You will work in a creative, fun environment with great clients and award-winning advertising and marketing talent. You will learn valuable trade skills from our team and have the opportunity to attend A-list events and parties. You will be tapped into a network of fun, influential companies and individuals that will help open many doors in the future.

Schedule
This is a M-F position, 10:00 AM - 6 PM. The internship is for three months, after which you will be evaluated for full-time employment. We do not guarantee full-time employment, but this position gives you a far greater chance at securing a full-time position with thehappycorp global.

This is a leadership role within our organization. You will work directly with the principles of the company to analyze financial statements, develop revenue models, analyze internal systems and plans for the future.

You are a recent MBA grad who scored at the top of your class, but who has been confronted by boring options since your graduation. You have a creative mind when it comes to business and an understanding of the media and publishing industries and their financial models. You know what a blog is, and how to monetize it. You know how online retail sales work, and how to keep costs low and profits high.

You are a ninja with Excel and can design financial models in your sleep. You live to write a polished business plan, stand in a board room at a table of hungry and demanding venture capitalists, and present a well thought out reason they should open their wallets to you.
