'The T-shirt is a visible, human billboard,' says
Johnny Vulkan, co-founder (with Doug Jaeger) of New York based
clothing label, Doug & Johnny. 'They're worn everywhere and so it's
a medium to get information out on. We thought it would
be neat to create iconography and a brand that's true to
America.' Their designs include hard-hitting references
to the country's gun culture as well as the United States'
involvement in recent global political events. 'We create
these shirts to raise a debate', says Jaeger.
