LVHRD's "Battle of the Moves"

On Monday, April 25, 2005, LVHRD hosted “Battle of the Moves,” no. 4 in the Master-Disaster series, at CoDA, 34 E 34th Street. Sixteen contenders battled for the title “Champion of Dance” in front of LVHRD’s largest turnout to date. This tournament-style competition ushered dancers and audience through an audible journey of musical eras and styles, climaxing in a one-on-one, room shaking dance duel.

The judge panel included LVHRD members Anne Kenney, David Hallberg, and Kit Rogers, who focused on style, technique and overall performance, respectively. Our judges meticulously critiqued the competitors in search of the one dancer capable of transcending genre to receive the LVHRD dance title. MC Seth Herzog and DJ Joe Cruse kept the comedy and dance hits coming all night long. Dreams were made real as the DanceBot crowned the victor, signaling an all-out dance party in this month’s unsuspecting LVHRD venue.

LVHRD membership is closing MAY 01, 2005.
